Carbon Trust Low-Carbon National

ANGLE has delivered intensive high growth business support services on behalf of the Carbon Trust through their Entrepreneurs Fast Track Programme. These virtual incubators bring innovative, low carbon technologies to the market place.

ANGLE has delivered incubator services since 2003 and after a second successful contract renewal, we are undertaking a third delivery phase. To date our Incubator has supported over 40 companies, and has been independently cited as one of the most successful low carbon incubators in Europe (New Energy Finance, 2007), raising £45 million through direct investment and marketing listings.

Each incubator provides a package of bespoke innovation support services with a focus on embedding an innovation culture to drive sustainable business development that facilitates the winning of substantial external funding to commercialise novel low carbon technologies. Two key factors in our successful Incubator delivery are the development of academic and specialist linkages and the support for business culture change.

ANGLE is responsible for the entire incubation pipeline including the selection of new low carbon technology opportunities with high growth potential, their recruitment to the programme, identification of a support package that aligns with Carbon Trust objectives and the follow-on intensive business growth support, to address a combination of commercial, technical, manufacturing and future growth issues.
