Overview

ANGLE is a world leading liquid biopsy company with sample-to-answer solutions. ANGLE’s proven patent protected circulating tumor cell (CTC) harvesting technology is known as the Parsortix® system.   ANGLE’s Parsortix® system is FDA cleared for its intended use in metastatic breast cancer and is currently the first and only FDA cleared medical device to harvest intact circulating cancer cells from blood.

The Parsortix system enables a liquid biopsy (a simple blood test) to be used to provide the circulating metastatic breast cancer cells to the user in a format suitable for multiple types of downstream analyses.  The system is based on a microfluidic device that captures cells based on a combination of their size and compressibility.  The system is epitope independent and can capture all phenotypes of CTCs (epithelial, mesenchymal and EMTing CTCs) as well as CTC clusters in a viable form (alive).  CTCs harvested from the system enable a complete picture of a cancer to be seen; as being an intact cell they allow DNA, RNA and protein analysis as well as cytological and morphological examination and may provide comparable analysis to a tissue biopsy in metastatic breast cancer. Because CTC analysis is a non-invasive process, unlike tissue biopsy, it can be repeated as often as needed. This is important because cancer develops and changes over time and there is a clear medical need for up-to-date information on the status of a patient’s tumor. In addition, the live CTCs harvested by the Parsortix system can be cultured, which offers the potential for testing tumor response to drugs outside the patient.

This is an exciting time at ANGLE and our team in Guildford are looking for a Sales Manager to utilize their sales experience and knowledge of the life-sciences research market and distributor management to drive sales of the Parsortix system and CTC lab services to academic, translational and clinical researchers globally.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Mapping of the market to allow targeting of academic, translational and clinical researchers globally.
  • Educating the market as to the potential value of liquid biopsy/ CTC research studies and potential role of CTCs in therapy decision
  • Shaping direct communications for target customers as well as supporting marketing team to develop outreach activity
  • Coordination of, and attendance at conferences, thus building technology awareness and building customer relationships.
  • Building relationships with leading cancer researchers in academia and clinical space to raise ANGLE profile and technology awarenes.
  • Prospecting for new opportunities and developing new leads
  • Using CRM to manage customers down the sales funnel. This may include managing evaluations of the Parsortix system, overseeing training at customer sites and supporting customers to ensure successful evaluation of the technology.
  • Manage existing customer base including Global network of Distributors to ensure they get value from their Parsortix technology and continue to purchase consumables
  • Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks as required

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Attributes:

  • in Life Sciences OR an equivalent combination of commercial experience and formal education. Masters or PhD an advantage – particularly in oncology space.
  • Proven successful sales experience, including selling into the academic, translational and clinical research market as well as clinical lab market. Preferentially product and services for oncology.
  • Distributor management experience
  • Research background a significant advantage; strong understanding of common laboratory analysis techniques (including NGS, PCR, Immunocytochemistry) essential.
  • An eye for detail and commitment to high quality data
  • A flexible, can-do approach to the requirements of the job.

Job Requirements:

  • Due to the nature of the Sales Manager role, this position is expected to be field based.
  • The Job holder will be required to attend regular face to face meetings that will take place at the Guildford office (at least once every two months, or when business demand arises.).
  • The Job holder must be able to travel internationally frequently.
