Senior Warehouse Operator / Warehouse Supervisor

ANGLE is a world leading liquid biopsy company with sample-to-answer solutions. ANGLE’s proven patent protected circulating tumor cell (CTC) harvesting technology is known as the Parsortix® system.   ANGLE’s Parsortix® system is FDA cleared for its intended use in metastatic breast cancer and is currently the first and only FDA cleared medical device to harvest intact circulating cancer cells from blood.

The Parsortix system enables a liquid biopsy (a simple blood test) to be used to provide the circulating metastatic breast cancer cells to the user in a format suitable for multiple types of downstream analyses.  The system is based on a microfluidic device that captures cells based on a combination of their size and compressibility.  The system is epitope independent and can capture all phenotypes of CTCs (epithelial, mesenchymal and EMTing CTCs) as well as CTC clusters in a viable form (alive).  CTCs harvested from the system enable a complete picture of a cancer to be seen; as being an intact cell they allow DNA, RNA and protein analysis as well as cytological and morphological examination and may provide comparable analysis to a tissue biopsy in metastatic breast cancer. Because CTC analysis is a non-invasive process, unlike tissue biopsy, it can be repeated as often as needed. This is important because cancer develops and changes over time and there is a clear medical need for up-to-date information on the status of a patient’s tumor. In addition, the live CTCs harvested by the Parsortix system can be cultured, which offers the potential for testing tumor response to drugs outside the patient.

This is an exciting time at ANGLE and our team in Guildford are looking for a Senior Warehouse Operator / Warehouse Supervisor to be responsible for the warehouse activities.

Warehouse day-to-day operations (hands-on)

​

• Processing all incoming goods in accordance with company procedures.
• Responsible for movement and storage of goods in allocated storage locations in the warehouse, ensuring correct location and utilization of space.
• Ensure all goods stored in the warehouse are controlled and maintained with high quality, clearly identifiable and stored in a safe and efficient way.
• Managing material requisitions and returns from internal departments. Checking requested stock availability, picking stock, and preparation for delivery or collection as per the requested date.
• Picking and packing orders for dispatch as per the agreed schedule.
• Managing and performing material collections or deliveries, either by driving a van or by foot, between all Angle sites in the Guilford Research Park.
• Ensure the warehouse report, stock sheets and ZOHO are kept updated reflecting stock movements during the day.
• Carry out stock counts as and when required, including periodic stock take.

Warehouse & Inventory Management

​

• Weekly and/or monthly reporting of inventory movements and resolving discrepancies.
• Responsible for the efficient management of stock close to expire date. 
• Responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of products and consumables .
• Responsible for correct storage, accurate record keeping and appropriate handling to avoid stock discrepancies, losses, and damages.
• Responsible for undertaking monthly and quarterly stock counts and preparation for yearly audits with external auditors.

• Responsible for managing and developing the team, adequate role job training, setting objectives and performance review. Coach the team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short and long term performance goals.
• Develop and introduce KPI’s and measure performance by producing regular reports on a weekly and/or monthly basis. Evaluating metrics to assess performance and implement improvements.
• Produce and maintain departmental Warehouse procedures and processes in line with company requirements, policies, and standards.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations.
• Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks as required.

• 5+ years demonstrable experience in warehouse management and inventory control.
• Excellent organisational skills and methodical attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of business management software, in particular proficient in Excel.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Posses a flexible, can-do approach to the requirements of the job.
• A full driver’s licence is required.
