Interim HR Officer (12 months FTC)

This is an exciting time at ANGLE and our HR team in Guildford are looking for an Interim HR Officer to work together with the HR team to continually evolve the company’s HR policies and procedures in line with changing business needs.  Initially, there will be a strong focus on recruitment.

Principal Accountabilities:

Recruitment:

  • Work with the HR team to deliver against targeted recruitment dates for budgeted headcount
  • Increase our use of direct and creative sourcing methods to find talented individuals
  • Manage the recruitment process for senior appointments and other positions as required
  •  Conduct initial screening interviews, telephone interviews, and/or face-to-face interviews with prospective candidates and deliver feedback.
  • Manage recruitment agency PSL and associated commercial arrangements
  • Work with ANGLE marketing team to develop ANGLE EVP.  Promote a positive company image to candidates and external service providers and represent ANGLE in the most accurate and appropriate way
  •  Develop the current recruitment process to provide a candidate and hiring manager experience that is slick, professional and positive, irrespective of the outcome
  • Provide interview training to hiring managers and manage feedback processes
  • Optimise use of ANGLE ATS (PeopleHR)
  • Maintain consistent standards for all candidates and ensure compliance with all local rules and regulations related to hiring and recruiting.
  • Keep accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the recruitment process.

HR:

  • Be first point of contact for HR Generalist and HR Apprentice for day-to-day questions, support and mentorship
  • Work with HR Manager to optimise use of HR systems (PeopleHR, ClearReview)
  • Manage the smooth onboarding of new recruits into ANGLE, present HR onboarding session
  • Help identify and embed employee wellness and engagement initiatives
  • Support performance management and reward processes
  • Develop training and development offering and initiatives such as apprenticeships, student placements etc
  • Provide first line advice and support to employees and line managers regarding HR policies and procedures
  • Assist HR Manager in managing employee relations and day to day HR issues as they arise
  • Support ESG initiatives as required
  • Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Attributes:

  • CIPD qualified
  • Previous experience of a similar role with proven HR generalist experience and a solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application
  • Possess an ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion, kindness and diplomacy
  • Experience of and able to use Microsoft Office Suite
  • An eye for detail and commitment to high quality data
  • A flexible, can-do approach to the requirements of the job
  • Experience of working with PeopleHR would be an advantage
  • Having worked in the life-science industry would be desirable

Job Requirements:

Due to the nature of the role, our requirement is for this position to be full time, office hours, Guildford based (minimum four days per week), with flexibility to work from home (one day per week) at the discretion of the Manager.
