In 2021 we opened GCLP compliant clinical laboratories in Guildford (UK) and Philadelphia (USA) to provide “pharma services” for cancer drug trials and, once the labs are accredited, laboratory developed tests (LDTs) for patient management. The pharma services business offers dynamic analysis of patient condition before, during and after the patient receives the drug, assessing both CTCs and CTC clusters recovered from a simple blood test. We are also pursuing an FDA product clearance for the Parsortix system and have submitted a full De Novo submission, which is currently in substantive review with FDA.

This is an exciting time at ANGLE and our research and development facilities in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US are looking for an Office Administrator specialising in supporting internal and external needs.

The Office Administrator is an important position and will perform a multi-function support role which encompasses duties associated with general office, facility, purchasing, finance, customer care, and HR support.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Perform general office duties to maintain and continually improve office organization, supplies and administrative processes and communications
  • Manage facilities on a day-to-day basis including but not limited to general housekeeping, contractors such as cleaners, security, office equipment maintenance
  • Routing telephone calls and emails and receiving and directing visitors and incoming shipments
  • Manage daily mail distribution and outgoing mail for the office
  • Co-ordinate IT Support and maintenance, liaising with in-house and third party IT support to assist departments and employees as needed
  • Inventory control of software and hardware associated with department and employee IT requirements
  • Create and maintain non-lab specific purchase order
  • Assist and support the Group’s Finance department. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
    • depositing checks received in the mail
    • managing petty cash
    • assisting with purchase invoice matching and queries
    • maintaining fixed assets registers and asset verification
    • assisting with monthly stock counts
  • Co-ordinate events held at onsite and offsite for visitors and employees
  • Assist with employee and research partner travel, including but not limited to booking flights, hotel and transportation bookings
  • Provide administrative support to Customer Care Lead with updating and maintaining Zoho
  • Assist and support HR by performing administrative duties associated with onboarding and offboarding employees
  • Perform such other duties and responsibilities that are consistent with the role of an Office Administrator or as may be assigned from time to time

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Minimum Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience in an Administrator role ideally within the biologics or life science industry.
  • Aptitude for basic accounting knowledge
  • Working knowledge of appropriate regulatory requirements (e.g. cGLP, ISO, CLIA, OSHA, HAZCOM).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Exemplary customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Resourceful and able to work to deadlines with accuracy and good attention to detail
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality processes and products
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Good visual inspection skills combined with tolerance for repetitive work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
  • An eye for detail and commitment to high quality data
