This is an exciting time at ANGLE and our team in Guildford are looking for a Procurement Manager specialising in implementing best practises and standardising processes to support current business needs and the future aspiration growth of the company.

The Procurement Manager will be responsible and accountable for all procurement requirements primarily focussing on ANGLE Europe Ltd., but will necessitate engagement across the ANGLE Group, including our US and Canadian locations.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Responsible and accountable for management of procurement of material and services.
• Develop and implement best practice, purchasing vision, policies, processes, and procedures standardised and aligned globally. Ensure that purchasing strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs.
• Implement continuous improvement within the purchasing function, including future implementation of ERP system.
• Responsible for managing relationships and negotiating with key suppliers. Develop, implement, and maintain a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance
• Negotiate and execute purchase orders as necessary to support the business requirements.
• Identify and resolve material supply issues, escalating where appropriate. Where appropriate migrate sourcing to alternative suppliers.
• Work closely with other departments to source new and alternative suppliers to reduce costs, improve quality and meet the business needs. Maintain communication with departments to ensure production priorities and shortfalls are addressed in a timely manner.
• Provide leadership to the purchasing department. Recruit, coach, mentor and develop direct report
• Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance
• Undertake additional ad-hoc tasks as required.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Attributes:

• A Subject Matter Expert (SME) qualified to degree level in relevant manufacturing, logistics and/or stock control/procurement discipline is essential.
• CIPS certification preferred.
• Demonstrable experience of leading a purchasing function with a proven track record in strategic purchasing leadership delivering effective purchasing strategies, policies, processes, and systems.
• Proven contract management and supplier experience.
• Experienced in quality control practices and be capable of working within defined regulatory requirements in line with those outlined in ISO13485 or equivalent.
• Previous in-depth experience within manufacturing/R&D sector highly desirable.
• Management experience leading and inspiring operational teams to deliver results.
• Ability to think critically and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Problem solver with a tactical approach who can effectively interface with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise to meet deadlines.
• Proficient with MS Office and Windows; (Excel; Advanced).
• Guildford based, with flexibility to work from home at the discretion of the Manager.
• Working hours aligned to other time zones to engage with ANGLE staff at ANA and ABI (EST, EDT) may be necessary on an exceptional basis.
• Limited overseas travel to other ANGLE locations may be necessary.

Salary estimate – £45000 – £50000 dependant on experience.
